So many of our vegetable dishes come to us by way of our farm basket. It introduces us to new veggies and pushes us to try new recipes. We’d had roasted Shishito peppers as an appetizer at a restaurant, but we’d never prepared them at home – until we received a large bag of them in our farm basket!
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. To prepare the Shishitos, simply toss them in avocado or olive oil, Kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Or use a seasoning blend – we used a Montreal Steak seasoning blend our boys love. Since we hardly ever prepare red meat, we don’t actually use this blend for steak, but we do use it to season roasted potato wedges.

Spread the seasoned peppers onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Once the peppers begin to brown, turn on your broiler and finish the peppers there. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning. Enjoy!
