This week began and ended with muffins – Pumpkin Spice to kick off the week, and Pear Blackberry to end it! Both were amazing and I strongly recommend you give them a try. We also enjoyed large dinner salads, one vegan and the other topped with poached chicken. I also […]

Since we’re on vacation, we’re not doing much cooking this week. The meal plan includes a few favorites we prepared before leaving, including an improved recipe for Mango Bread. I’m also excited to include a link to a new General Goodness blog post where I share three great recipes for […]
We adapted this veggie side dish from a recipe by David Tanis in The New York Times, and in our humble opinions, it’s perfect. Simple, fast, and versatile – serve it with fish, pasta, rice, meat – we’re definitely making it again!
This recipe comes from Julia Moskin in The New York Times. It’s a simple meal, inspired by Italian techniques. I left the chicken to marinate while I prepped the potatoes. My teenager is responsible for washing the dishes after dinner; he was definitely psyched that this was a one-pot meal! […]

Pronounced “MOCK SHOE”, this is a dish from southwest Louisiana that the Cajuns learned from local Native American tribes. The original recipe from The […]
This is an Indian-inspired condiment which pairs perfectly with Curried Turkey Burgers. It would also be awesome with our Gluten-Free Flatbread; of course you can enjoy it with pita, naan, or tortilla chips. It’s super-fresh, and perfectly balances sweet mango with spicy jalapeno and fresh ginger.
I am so excited that this recipe turned out as well as it did. I had my nephew specifically in mind while developing it, since like me, he has to avoid dairy and wheat. Blintzes were one of my favorite dishes from childhood; I loved eating them covered in applesauce. […]
This salad is a new family favorite. Our boys LOVED IT, and asked when we could have it again. Since it couldn’t be any simpler to prepare, I’m happy to add it to our regular rotation! We served it with Celery Root Remoulade.
